Bleach is the story of Kurosaki Ichigo, a withdrawn, somewhat antisocial high school guy who has the ability to see ghosts. One day while minding his own business he meets up with Rukia Kuchiki, one of the Shinigami, soul reapers that hunt the transmogrified spirits of restless humans. It is during this meeting that he is bequeathed Shinigami powers by Rukia in a desperate attempt to save his family from a hollow attack, and thus embarks on his career as the latest Soul Reaper.
