The Naruto filler arcs don't add anything to the story. That's why it's considered filler. It adds nothing to the overall story and wont ever be refferenced in canon episodes. Just like the movies. That's why I hate most anime movies based on their shows.

LOL Jordan u do have a point about Fillers not having anything to do with the anime most the time its just to give the manga's time to go farther ahead and trying to give another genre to get more people to watch it

Personality i don't mind the naruto movies.. They are nice and Fun ..and you don't have to progress the story line with EVERY Episode.. i don't mind fillers unless they start to take away from the experience of the anime..like they did to me in bleach. I stop watching after episode 225.because of it... and their are good thing about fillers too. Like how they give a break to some confusion plot twists of the BIG three. Like Tommy said they also allow the manga go further too. To me fillers are good and bad, i don't' mind them if they are used in the right way...unlike the last 200 episodes are naruto...Those were mostly filler episodes that were only their as a cash cow.Anyways with the main topic now, I think that all three suffer the Final Fantasy 7 syndrome. This means that they are good to watch but people blown them out of proportions in terms of how epic they are. Also each of them shared similar traits..They start off good and then they slowly decay as they try to find new plot twists and how to get new people to watch them. I like Naruto and Bleach pretty good but One piece was ruined to be my female friends with their.." fan fiction" that they talked about every day at my lunch table lol. I'm not trying to sound like a ego manic always telling people what i think lol this is just my options.

Let's take in example Naruto: Shippuden Movie 2 Bonds

The movie was suppose to be about Sasuke. How many lines did he have total? I believe in total he had less then 30 lines. Something like 22? The Naruto movies/specials/filler shit is all garbage. JUST LIKE THE FUCKING GOD DAMN "LETS MAKE ZANPAKTOU'S COME OUT IN REAL FORM" garbage they pulled in Bleach.

The Bleach movies/fillers/specials crap are all garbage (with the exception of Diamon Dust Rebellion). On to the Muramasa filler. It was bad to start with the plot of it didn't really meld together well and on top of it the biggest thing that bugged me.

Why didn't Ichigo's zanpaktou turn back into a hilt after Zangetsu was pulled out? Yeah yeah skip the obviously blatant "hollow powers," none the less his sword should have changed back to just the hilt of his giant ass zanpaktou.

As for one piece. The entire series is a filler. They sail around the world searching for the "grand line." I know what the "grand line" its something that isn't physical its got some shit called adventure or heart? Just watch when One piece ends how many angry fan boys there will be.
